The long-awaited 2024 Paris Olympics is finally kicking off later tonight. As a genuine supporter of Hong Kong athletes and many major sporting events, Sino Group has previously announced the launch of the ‘Cheer for Athletes’ campaign, encouraging the public to show their support for Hong Kong athletes.

This afternoon, in collaboration with HOY TV, a large-scale cheering rally was hosted at Olympian City. This highly-anticipated event drew in a crowd of 500 enthusiastic citizens, creating a vibrant and lively atmosphere.

Retired sports stars wishing the Hong Kong athletes the best of luck

Several retired sports stars, including Olympic bronze medalist and former cyclist Sarah Lee Wai Sze; former badminton Hong Kong team representative and Asian Games silver medalist Yip Pui Yin; former Hong Kong gymnastics representative and World Cup bronze medalist Ng Kiu-Chung Kelvin; singer and former golfer Stephanie Ho Ngan Si; and former Hong Kong figure skater Ma Hiu Ching Maisy, were invited to attend the event and share their experiences on stage.

“We could never fathom how much blood, sweat and tears each athlete has shed in order to step onto the Olympics stage. If the Hong Kong athletes know that they have all of our support, it will definitely be a great motivation for them to strive for better performances in the Olympic Games,” said Sarah Lee Wai Sze, hoping everyone can cheer for Hong Kong athletes with all their might.

Ms Bella Chhoa, Director of Asset Management of Sino Group expressed her excitement for the upcoming events. “This year, Sino Group has allocated over HK$10 million in organizing Olympic promotional activities to show full support for the Hong Kong athletes. We have also teamed up with catering tenants and merchants, to offer the audience with Michelin-starred delicacies, as well as over HK $30 million shopping rewards.”
